Unlike certain proven facts like; the earth’s shape, the science behind the rain, the explanation of gravity and why we have day and night, the existence of God as described in the Bible has not been proven scientifically. This lack of scientific proof has seeded doubts in humanity and people all over the universe are asking the same questions; what are the reasons to believe in God?

A Good Reason to Put Your Faith in God

As wide as scientific researches go, none has shown how the universe came to be, why everything in the universe is in such beautiful order and this shows that science is lacking.

The inadequacy of science points out that there are something and someone, who is bigger than science; God and He alone is capable of creating this complex, well-ordered universe.

God didn’t just create the universe and every living thing (including you and me); he created it for a reason.

This reason, as the bible has shown, is the best of reasons to bring about the beautiful expected things and this is one fundamental reason why you should have faith in God.

You can always trust Him to have your best interest at heart.

There is a God vacuum in humans that only God can fill. This vacuum creates a need and people look to all directions to meet that need.

Encounter with God

Filling up the God vacuum is very personal and it takes conviction to do so.

Faith in God gives you that personal encounter with God that fills up the vacuum and completes you.

With your faith in God, God is real to you, life doesn’t feel empty and worthless and you never get to feel alone.

The Plan of Salvation

Faith in God brings everything you need. Salvation through Jesus Christ can only be by faith because it is written that whoever believes shall be saved.

It takes faith to beget belief and belief begets salvation.

With salvation in Christ, you are assured of:

  • Joy
  • Peace
  • Love
  • Healing
  • And provision

These are unlocked by faith, no matter how small, in God that these will be supplied if only you ask.

Overcoming by Faith

Faith in God makes it easier to surmount obstacles and difficult times. There’s never a time in life that there won’t be difficult times.

These difficult times make us refined and band help us achieve our goals. However, it is easy to get tired, frustrated and give up when faced with these obstacles and this is where faith comes in.

Faith in God gives the reassurance that you are never alone in the journey and that you have an ever-present help.

Promises in the bible of God always being there to help us throughout life’s journey will be soothing if you have faith to believe.

One of the plus of being a believer is that you can perform miracles, call dead things to life and do the unimaginable.

This power to heal the sick and break chains has been unleashed in us through the redemption by Christ Jesus. However, it is the faith in God in us that helps us maximize this great power.

Faith makes us believe that we can do all things (through the strength Jesus gives) and makes us act out what we believe.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

God Answers Prayers

Prayers are direct communication to God. The bible makes us believe that if we ask anything in the name of Jesus, we will receive, on one condition, if our faith can be as band unwavering as a mustard seed.

To see God work in our lives and answer prayers, we have to believe that he listens to us and he can do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ever ask or think.

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen"
Ephesians 3:20-21

We can only please God with our faith in him because it takes faith to believe that God is and more faith to give our hearts in worship to him.

Faith in God gives life a new meaning and it takes faith to walk the Christian journey.

It also reveals God in new and greater dimensions than you have previously experienced. God can only work with the heart of a totally believing person.

Faith is a gift from God but it is also built over time. Reading the scriptures and confessing the promises from the bible is a great way to build your faith in God.

Acknowledging the goodness of God in small and medium measures increases the grace to expect more from God and this enlarges faith.

Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, evidence of things unseen:

"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see"

And it is with faith that great men and women of the bible were able to live their life to please God and do wonders in the name of God.

You need faith as a Christian to truly live a purposeful life that God has you to live.
