What Does Hebrews 10:24-25 Mean?
‘And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.’ NIV
A central message of the Book of Hebrews is that Christians must ‘hold fast’ to their faith in the face of adversity, but Christian belief is not a solitary activity. Fellowship with other Christians is an obligation and this verse is a reminder of that necessity. This seems to me to be a frequently overlooked but crucial part of the Christian faith. Christians must support one another and encourage one another to lead a Christian life.
